Quinta do Granjal Douro red 2012 Reserve
The Douro DOC, a region with great history and tradition in the production of quality wine since Roman times. Here, on the slopes of Vilariça, a small village, the Quinta do Granjal overlooks countless vineyards. It is in these hills that the Quinta do Granjal Douro red 2012 Reserve is produced. Selected grapes of the varieties Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca are handpicked when ripe. Due to the soils and sun exposure, the grapes grow juicy and sweet.
This Reserve wine aged 12 months in French oak barrels. As a result of its vinification process, it has a red color with violet tones and an intense red fruit aroma. In the mouth, balanced tannins provide a velvety, long and persistent finish. Continues to evolve favorably over 8 to 10 years after harvest.
A fruity and elegant wine, excellent to match with meat, game, and cheese.
